Mental Notes are a band of world class Performance Psychologists who work with professional athletes and corporate executives. “Our goal is to make your goals happen. Think of us as your strength coach. There’s a lot of work to do to get to the top, and we’re here to make sure you get the work done. Train your brain like you’d train your body, and know how to perform at your best every time it counts.”

This philosophy is key to the execution of the visual elements of their brand. That and the ‘hands-on’ nature of the team. Note making and ‘using your own words’ are echoed in the icon and handwritten affirmation graphics.

The brand icon is an M and N, formed in a pen flourish that could also be a podium, an autograph, or steps upwards.

The Mental Notes family of clients have contributed their introspective cues, personal handwritten affirmations, reminder notes, or trigger messages towards the branding. Where you see a handwritten ‘mental note’ as a part of the brand, this is a high-performing individuals’ inner thought.

Imagery is designed to have you looking objectively into a scene. Predominantly aerial photos, the sparseness gives and introspective vibe, and provides confidentiality for the athlete or subject in frame.

Handwritten affirmation phrases combined with images of sporting fields / tracks / urban environments in an abstract way, breathes a sense of ‘inner thought’ to scenes.

The ‘casual-professional’ tone of voice in all copy is deliberate. Professional-but-relatable language in short sentences, so that reading is effortless, and concepts are easy to understand.
